Google-owned navigation app Waze has introduced a beta version that warns users about roads that have statistically high crash occurrences based on Waze community data. The feature colors high-risk roads red on the map and pushes just one pop-up notification about the dangerous roads to drivers. The feature is currently in beta but is likely to be rolled out to the general public soon. Users can turn the feature off with a toggle in the app’s settings section designated for alerts. The new feature is one of the first to come out of Waze since it was merged with Google Maps.
