Ottonomy Inc., a deep tech startup that provides contactless deliveries using fully autonomous robots, has recently announced its newest delivery robot, the Ottobot 2.0. This revolutionary robotic delivery system is capable of contactless deliveries for both indoor and outdoor environments. It is equipped with modular delivery bins, a navigational engine that combines data from lidar and cameras, and a four-wheel drive “crab mode” system which allows for extra maneuverability in tight spaces. The new model also comes with a simple tilting mechanism and rollers that can dispense packages onto a doorstep or transfer them to a locker, allowing for independent delivery without human help. The firm is currently operating in multiple cities in North America and Europe and plans to expand to Asia in the near future.
